Moshtix announce new team members in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and New Delhi
As Moshtix approaches 18 years working within the Australian ticketing industry we are pleased to welcome five new additions to the team across the Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and New Delhi offices.
The company welcomes James Deighton to the team as our go-to Senior Business Development Manager who will be servicing our southern states (VIC, SA & TAS). James brings a wealth of knowledge to the team following a 10-year stint working for TMRW Music Group (formerly Ministry of Sound Australia) across a number of roles most recently as Head of Poster Child and prior in the groups Artist Management and Soapbox Agency. James will play an integral role in the expansion of the business and our partners.
We also welcome Stephanie McRoberts and Sunreet Singh to our Perth and Sydney teams respectively. Stephanie takes on a hybrid Client and Event Services role and will lead our expansion in Western Australia, while Sunreet joins our web and software development team as a Junior Web Developer, working on the ongoing improvements to our ticketing platform.
In addition, Jatin Bharwaj and Suraj Mandal also join our web and software development team and act as the face of Moshtix in our recently formed New Delhi office.

Q&A with new staff of Moshtix
James Deighton

What’s the best live event you’ve been to?
Impossible to do one but here are two different ends of the spectrum - Glastonbury for larger scale. I was lucky enough as an Australian to attend for both my 21st and 30th which made them quite special. On the smaller scale, Four Tet at the Enmore in Sydney. A gig put together last minute and announced the day of, conceptually different to a usual electronic performance - he played open to close without any production, no lights, no stage, just him performing with his equipment on a megadesk in pitch black in the middle of the GA floor surrounded by 1500 people losing it! Was an electric atmosphere.
What excites you about working for Moshtix?
I know it's a cliché but the team! Previously working on the other side of the coin as an agent running tours and events Mosh we're always my ideal platform to partner with, not just down to the easibilty but due to the great team of people. Well respected, always helpful, solving pain points, adding value and just a great bunch all round to partner with.
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I've unluckily managed to enjoy lockdowns or quarantines across 4 countries and 6 cities. A healthy desire for exercise and developing my cooking skills have got me through it. Hit me up to join our Pasta club if you're ever in town, we're getting pretty good now!
Stephanie McRoberts

What’s the best live event you’ve been to?
My favourite live experience would have to be Cat Stevens’ 50th Anniversary tour at RAC Arena in 2017!
I grew up listening to Cat as my Dad has always been an avid fan, so bought tickets and flew him over from QLD to join me as a birthday gift.
What excites you about working at Moshtix?
I have always been passionate about events and events management, becoming increasingly involved in various capacities over my nine years in the industry. After completing a law and psychology degree and nearly taking an intelligence job in the WA Police, I am stoked to have the opportunity to follow my passion even further, and with such a great company!
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I am a registered breeder of miniature dachshunds and we have six spread across my family… once we got the first it escalated very quickly!

What’s a fun fact about yourself?
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a real estate agent.
Suraj Mandal

What’s the best live event you have been to?
The best concert I have attended has to be Metallica in Bangalore. It was a fantastic concert and great to watch legendary Metallica songs live with a 50 thousand plus crowd packed arena, rains, full energy singer, high base for 6 hours. Being a huge fan of the band, I made sure to enjoy every single moment, singing with them.
What excites you about working with Moshtix ?
I’m really excited about working with such a tight knit team and work flexibility is awesome. There are also sufficient number of channels to bubble up my ideas and concerns and Moshtix has an amazing employee feedback system.
What are some fun facts about yourself?
I learned how to ride a bike in just one day.
I am a competitive chess player, and programmer.
I love cooking, gardening, massage, and visiting new places. I also love fiction movies and I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter and Jack Sparrow.
Sunreet Singh

What’s the best live event you’ve been to?
The best live event I attended was the Zirk! Circus at Entertainment Quarters before the covid hit. It was highly entertaining. We had a great time watching their phenomenal performances.
What excites you about working at Moshtix?
The fact that we are a small, tight-knit company. You are definitely more involved and can make some really big changes.
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
One of my favourite things to do is cooking food. I prepare delicious homemade food for myself every day. I am a vegetarian and I like to experiment with different ingredients!
