Walk Up Mode is a streamlined checkout to get tickets faster at the door, without needing to fumble around with cash or a card machine (hello ApplePay and GooglePay)

Overview

In today’s fast-paced event landscape, the dynamic between online and door sales continues to evolve. While online pre event sales remain essential, Walk Up Mode was developed to cater to a very specific segment of fans—those who act on impulse and those who missed out on earlier opportunities. These spur-of-the-moment behaviours are crucial to consider as they represent a substantial portion of ticket sales.

What was the challenge?

Walk Up Mode was built to support a better, more streamlined purchasing experience for patrons at the door.

The challenge was whilst the checkout experience caters well for events with a focus on pre-event ticket sales with supporting additions for fans such as Event Reminders and Secure Tickets, it is not optimised for a quick and easy purchase at the door.

Our event organisers are wanting to know more about their fans that were attending events without pre-purchasing tickets. This additional detail is not easy to capture when using conventional door sales methods such as POS.
