Ticket Request gives fans an easier way to secure tickets before the public on-sale. Instead of sitting in stressful queues or worrying about missing out, fans simply complete the Moshtix checkout flow to request the tickets they want—then sit back and relax.

For organisers, Ticket Request unlocks early, high-value sales through pre-authorised purchases, easing pressure on traditional on-sale windows. Real-time sales data helps optimise inventory, pricing, and marketing—making ticketing more predictive, personalised, and profitable.

What was the challenge?

In many cases, organisers were using familiar methods to gauge demand—presales, waitlists, and on-sale traffic. But as audience behaviour evolved, those signals weren’t always reliable and fans were increasingly hesitant to commit early and were more price sensitive. For some events, high-value tickets took longer to sell, and on-sales didn’t generate the urgency expected.

Ticket Request helps fix this—giving fans a stress-free way to commit early, and giving organisers real-time sales insights to better plan, price, and scale their events with confidence.

How it works

Pre on-sale

Ticket Request is switched on during event setup. When the event goes live, fans can request the amount of tickets they want. A hold is placed on their payment method at time of request and if successful, the request is confirmed within 7 days and tickets are automatically sent to the fan. 

3D Secure (3DS)

To keep things secure, 3DS is used when fans request tickets. This adds an extra layer of protection and helps prevent fraud while holding the payment safely until ticket requests are confirmed.

Events achieved 100% fulfilment success rate with 3DS-secured payment, giving fans confidence and organisers peace of mind.

On average, 30% of total ticket allocations were reserved through Ticket Request to show strong early engagement and fan trust in the pre-authorised purchase model.
