A brand new multi-level live music and arts space is launching in Adelaide's CBD next week. Formerly Live on Light Square, the 150-year-old four-storey building has been transformed into a live performance space, restaurant, cafe and outdoor bar.

The Lab will feature a huge program of live bands, DJs, classical performances, experimental visual arts and tech, curated by Music SA chair Anne Wiberg.

"We want the venue to be an available, accessible and comfortable space where new work is commissioned and people come to play with tech that hasn't been on offer before," says Wiberg.

The space also boasts full height surround LED screens with the ability to truly transform the space into a real or imagined digitally immersive experience.

The Lab opens to the public next week with a two day, multi-session launch event across Friday 12 and Saturday 13 February. The event will feature live performances by the likes of Adam Page, South Australian Playwrights Theatre, Hilary Kleinig, Emma Horwood, Carla Lippis and more. Full details and tickets below.

Hip-Hop/Soul singer-songwriter Elsy Wameyo, Melbourne dance music producer Roland Tings, Adelaide's most important exports Wolf & Club and more will also be performing throughout February and March. More details HERE.
