No More No-Shows: Introducing Moshtix Resale and Ticket Return

Welcome to Moshtix’s new Resale and Ticket Return products, designed to empower event organisers and make fans’ lives easier.

Enabling fans to seamlessly resell or return tickets, Moshtix is rewriting the rules of event management, breathing renewed vitality into tickets for eager attendees nationwide and giving fans more purchasing confidence than ever before.

What is Resale?

Moshtix Resale operates to reduce the number of no-shows at your events, ensuring tickets are given new life in the hands of eager fans when life gets in the way.

If a fan can no longer attend an event, Resale allows them to make their ticket available for purchase via a unique link that can be directly shared with another fan, friend or family member to view and purchase their tickets. Tickets cannot be listed for more than 110% of the price originally paid for the ticket (excluding any transaction fees, delivery fees and optional ticket upgrade fees) which is in line with Australian regulatory standard. If the ticket is purchased via the secure link, the original ticketholder will receive the resale ticket price nominated, minus the Resale Service Fee displayed on the listing page.

What is Ticket Return?

Unused tickets can be returned to the pool of other tickets we’re selling, promptly listed at the current price for that ticket type at the time of return. If the returned ticket is purchased, Moshtix will provide a refund of the price paid for the ticket (excluding any transaction, delivery and optional ticket upgrade fees) less the Ticket Return Service Fee specified.

What is the difference between Ticket Return and Resale?

Resale allows fans to sell their tickets at their own set price via a secure link, making it easy to share with friends or family. On the other hand, if fans don’t have a specific buyer who wishes to purchase their ticket, Ticket Return allows them to return their ticket to the pool of available tickets where the option is available on an event, giving the opportunity for another fan to purchase it from the Moshtix event page.

How can Moshtix Resale and Ticket Return benefit my events?

With an industry standard of 8-10% no-show rate, which rose alarmingly post-covid to +20%, the economic model to operate events gets adversely tipped in the wrong direction for event organisers. Moshtix Resale and Ticket Return reduce the barriers between the fan and the artist, giving fans the tools to legitimately sell their ticket to another real fan and ensuring our venues are full for festivals and tours.
