Congratulations to our partner Byron Bay Bluesfest for making the final list for ‘Music Festival of the Decade’ in the Pollstar Awards USA. Considering the rise of demand and variety of festivals across not only the country but also globally over the past 10 years, this is a huge accomplishment, which our Bluesfest family is rightly celebrating:

“To be nominated alongside Glastonbury Festival, Coachella, Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, Bonnaroo Festival, Lollapalooza USA & Brazil, Austin City Limits and others, is simply up there with the greatest things that has ever happened in my 50 years in the industry.” Peter Noble OAM, Bluesfest Festival Director

Unfortunately, we all are acutely aware that this highly awarded festival has now been forced to cancel not once, but twice only days from the event opening its doors to patrons, which has been heartbreaking for not only the Bluesfest team, but also across the board here at Moshtix. We have been proud to work side by side with Bluesfest since 2019 driving strategy, sales and operational planning. We were on the ground at the event this year, in preparation of opening what was heralded to be one of the first festivals of its size to run since the pandemic forced event closures across the world in 2020.

The news of this new nomination has firmed Bluesfest’s drive for the future of the festival.

Peter Noble OAM, Bluesfest Director says:

“We have not rested since the cancellation of Bluesfest 2021. I am in constant daily communication with NSW State Government, and will have more to say regarding the rescheduled Bluesfest event and refunds for the recent cancellation very soon.”

“We really look forward to being able to share more information with you at this time, and to see the continued support of our fans in coming back to Bluesfest after having been cancelled by Government Health Order for two years in a row.

“This support we have already seen greatly in your response on social media and in the media – we sincerely thank you.”
