Moshtix Is Proud To Sponsor The Push’s Music Careers Expo

Moshtix is thrilled to once again sponsor The Push’s Music Careers Expo, alongside partners, artists and key-note speakers. The Aussie youth music organisation’s annual Music Careers Expo is a free, one-day event designed to give young people valuable insights and practical information for a career in music.

Returning this July and August and featuring one-on-one conversations with artists, industry practitioners and education providers, this year’s Music Careers Expo will give young people the opportunity to hear directly from artists and the people who support their careers. Hope D (Brisbane), Dem Mob (Adelaide), Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers (Melbourne), and Devaura (Sydney) will be joined by members of their teams to share insights into the many roles that exist in the music industry, from management and production to marketing and touring.

We’re really excited about taking part in this year’s Music Careers Expo. We have learnt so much in our almost 10 years as a band and hope we can share as much info as possible with people who are starting their careers in the music industry!” - Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.

The Music Careers Expo is delivered by young people, for young people, with local youth teams playing a key role in event operations on the day. This experience gives participants valuable, first-hand experience in delivering an event and the chance to build practical skills in a real-world setting.

The Australian music sector is continually evolving and it's important that young people have access networks and information as they explore their career options. Whether it’s education pathways, learning new skills or finding new music communities, the Music Careers Expo shows young people what opportunities exist in an accessible way – all for free!” says The Push CEO Kate Duncan.

The Push will also partner with their Government Partners; the Commonwealth Government through Music Australia, the Victorian Government, and the South Australian Government through the Department of Education and Music Development Office, along with their Education and Industry Partners; Adelaide University, Australian Institute of Music, APRA AMCOS SongMakers, Box Hill Institute, Brisbane City Council, Carclew, Collarts, Industri Education, JMC, Liveschool, Monash University, SAE University College, Spotify, TAFE Queensland, and University of Southern Queensland.

If you’re a young person with a passion for Australian music and want to pursue a future career in the industry, the Music Careers Expo is for you. Secondary schools across Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria are encouraged to bring student groups to this free, one-day event.
